2021 House League Registration Update for April 6th, 2021

Thank you to everyone that provided their feedback to our House League registration survey. Your insight has provided us with valuable information on how to best move forward for the 2021 House League season.

Tyke (7U) to Midget (18U)

Registration for the 2021 season, Tyke (7U) to Midget (18U) will open on Saturday April 10th at 9am. We are planning for a 10 week season and are targeting a mid-June start (pending provincial clearance). Fees for 2021 will be reduced accordingly. Registration will close on May 15th. Registrations submitted after this date may be subject to an additional $25 late fee.

In accordance to provincial guidance, we will be required to create “bubbles” of 50 players each. This will allow for 3 to 4 teams within each bubble. Coaches and team volunteers, as well as umpires, are not counted within this bubble limit. Teams will only play teams within their own bubble for the duration of the season. There will be no cross overs to other bubbles. Some age groups will likely require multiple bubbles (e.g. Mosquito) and some age groups may need to be combined with others (e.g. Major Bantam and Midget).

Please note, the number of volunteers that sign up will dictate the number of teams we will be able to field this summer. We will require at least 3 volunteers for every team. This will include:

  • 1 Head Coach
  • 1 Assistant Coach
  • 1 Bench Coordinator/Volunteer (assists with managing coordinating players when they are off the field; this role is of particular importance as players will not be permitted to sit together in the dugout)
  • 1 Pitching Machine Coach (for Tyke and Rookie only)

Volunteer involvement is a critical piece to ensuring the safety of our players and our families.

T-Ball (4 & 5 years old) and Grasshopper (6 years old)

Our approach to T-Ball and Grasshopper levels this year is to focus on developing baseball skills for players and coaches and having fun. With that said, managing safety through appropriate social distancing is our priority in this age group as it is with all of our age groups.  As such, our plan is to run two 4-week clinics over the summer.  We will be finalizing the details for these clinics over the next few weeks so please stay tuned for registration information. As with our older age groups, we will require support from volunteer parents to ensure success.

Thank you all for your continued support and continued patience. We are committed to providing your player with the best and safest baseball experience this summer.
